Right. I ordered something from a big competitor a couple of weeks ago now and chose super saver delivery. The order was then dispatched on the 19th of April. However, it has still not arrived. Now I know delivery can sometimes take a few days but I'm pretty sure this order just isn't going to turn up. My question is, can I really do anything about it? I didn't have the order tracked since I've never had a problem with deliveries before and it soudns like Royal Mail have just lost the thing. Do I have any hope of recovering it or do I just cut my losses and move on? >_<

Erm, is it not common sense to ring the shop and ask them?

If it's who I think it is, they'll send another one out.

Supersaver sounds familure... sure they aint using DHL and not royal mail?

If its same place that i used, i picked super saver 5 days or so... and it came after 2 days :) (had next day written on the box, well happy lol)

Last time I had a delivery which failed to arrive like that, I contacted the company and a replacement was sent out the next day. Depending on the size of the order, they might need to investigate, but for a small thing they might just send a second package.

It was definitley sent via RM. I didn't think it was really worth contacting the retailer, since they're technically done their part. Might give it a shot anyway. There are claim forms on the RM website, but I can't see them really caring -_-

The 19th was a Saturday - so can't realy include that.
So the 21st is really the first day of transit.
"Super Saver" delivery can be up to 5 working days - so it really has until today to turn up before you need to worry.

And with RM you have to give upto 21 days before they class it as lost.

However most shops will look into it for you if you give em a ring.

Sory, messed up my post a bit. The dispatch wasn't the 19th, the 19th was estimated delivery date. :o. I've sent an email to said store anyway.

Pick up a phone and speak to the retailer, it's up to them to chase up packages that have gone missing not you!

It's the sender who has the contract with the delivery company so it's them who you need to contact even though you say "they've done their part". They will usually send out a replacement if it has been lost and claim from the delivery company.

Email or better still call them to find out what the deal is. If you email it is more likely to be put aside to be dealt with later, if you call then they are more likely to deal with your problem there and then.

Okay thanks :). Didn't know the retailer who is responsible for delivery like that. I've emailed them anyway and if they don't respond soon I'll give them a call.
