Royal Mail Special Delivery

Does anyone know if the Royal Mail Special Delivery comes with the normal Postman or is delivered separately on its own?

It comes via a Special Delivery van, which is seperate as far as I know.

Contact your local sorting office and they'll give you a heads-up.

Always been seperate round our way. Special delivery in it's own van, recorded delivery depends on the size of the parcel so can be postie or normal royal mail delivery van.

My RMSD comes with the normal postman if small enough otherwise with the parcel postie.

Depends on how big the item is. If it's a packet it will usually come in a separate van, if it's a large letter or normal envelope, your usually postie will bring it.

Cheers, it's a phone. Just trying to decide whether i should wait for it before going to work. If it's normal postie they don't come til about 11 so will miss it. If it's special Van there's a chance they may be there before i leave for work.

I believe special delivery is guaranteed before 1pm as well, though I could be wrong.

it's definitely guaranteed before 1 but was hoping they would be there earlier. Latest i can leave for work is 9.15 and even that's pushing it

We don't leave the delivery office until 9.30am (thats supposed to be national) so theres no point waiting.

If it's a phone it'll possibly go in the van although I've delivered phones on my walk because even though they're packaged excessively they're still smaller than a shoebox.
