Currently i have decided to buy a few rpgs and there seem to be a few at decreased prices. Some i've heard good things about but i'm wary of others.

Star Ocean for £20, only heard good things about this from ocuk so planning to get that.
Eternal Sonata for £17, another good one which i have missed.

But after that i've seen Inifinite Undiscovery for <£10 new and i was wondering if that is worth a go? Then there's the last remenant which is sub £20 but i dont know much about that right now.

So what i'm asking is it worth it to get those two latter games for those prices or are there others i should take into consideration? (i've already done lost oddyssy and blue dragon so dont recommend those).

Star Ocean; on shelf; not played.
Eternal Sonata; it's good for the first half or so but combat does get quite repetetive, button mashy and tiresome. Others heavily disagree with my opinion of it though so worth a punt probably.
Infinite Undiscovery. Good combat, 30-40 hours long, average story, average game.
Last Remnant. Great turn based combat, rubbish story. Better than the two above.
Enchanted Arms. A bit dated and I can't really remember much about it other than it was quite enjoyable.

imo.. Lost Odyssey > Blue Dragon > Tales of Vesperia >>> The Last Remnant >> Infinite Undiscovery >>>> Eternal Sonata > Enchanted Arms >>> Phantasy Star Universe....

Okay thanks, i'd forgotten about enchanted arms. I'll put that and last remnant on the back burner then and go for the cheap Undiscovery for now.

if you're interested im selling Star Ocean including the Bradygames official guide (RRP £13) for a total of £18!!

Tales of Vesperia is very good and if you like RPG's then you'll like it. It took me a little while to get used to the graphics of Tales of Vesperia as I don't really like the style it's done in, and looking back I'd have rather picked it up for cheaper than the £39.99 I paid... but it is a really good game and I'm having a lot of fun playing it. The fight system is a little weird also as I've never played another "Tales" game before, it's more of a fast action / think quickly system than the plan ahead / debate your situation style of Lost Odyssey.

Did you finish it?

Does it get better?

Must admit, I haven't played it for a while, been getting into Oblivion, I know it's a different type of game, but certainly hooks me more than Star Ocean.

it *does* get better just after i said i was going to quit it. Next missions were much more story-orientated rather than just wandering around bashing monsters in a quasi-mmo sorta way.

Dont have time to finish it. I keep putting it off. Its one of those games ill never get round to finishing i reckon. (alongside MGS4)
