RPG FPS Question

Just a quick question. The only game I remember having both weapon upgrades / mods and char upgrades is Deus Ex, every other game I play has car upgrades (like borderlands) or weapon upgrades (like STALKER). How come there arent more games that have both

Hmm forgot about that one, but its very limited weapon upgrading

*Edit - I know its all a bit vague but I like that kind of game. I like the skill of fps with the ability to improve and customize!

Fallout New Vegas has some weapon mods that you can apply to your gear of choice.

Hmm I dont remember those?

Just seams a really strange thing. Theres lots of one or the other, but only one or two of both.

Everquest, WoW, NWN, Dragon Age.

The clues in the title RPG FPS games, not RPG or FPS games heheh. Its a hybrid genre. Trust me I know all about RPG.
