RPG on the PS3 that has multiplayer (on the same PS3)

I've been playing multiplayer Neverwinter nights on the PC for years, including multiplayer using two PCs, one for myself, one for the missus.

I quite fancy playing something similar on the PS3, but would like to do it multiplayer on a single PS3. Is there an RPG that supports that type of play?

I'm afraid i can't think of any. I take it all other types of game are out of the question? There's a couple of coop titles i can think of but tbh split screen/local multiplayer seems to be a dying breed, especially on the playstation.

I do have Lego Star Wars, which actually works well as a multiplayer, but would really like an RPG to do with it. Here's hoping...

Well hopefully someone will be of more help than me, but since i've already done a little brainstorming i figured i may as well post what i consider to be good splitscreen/coop titles:

Warhawk - imagine battlefield 2 but cartoony, splitscreen online multiplayer is surprisingly good, can be played with up to 4 people locally, and can connect to servers for up to 32 people (including the 4 at your PS3)

Resistance 2 - shooter, has an impressive coop mode where you can play 2-player splitscreen with up to 6 other people online against large numbers of AI enemies. USes a class based system of soldier, medic and spec ops, each must work together in order to succeed.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift - silly, over the top racing game where you can race anything from a motorbike to a monster truck. Up to 4 player splitscreen.


That really is the only really good ones i can think of... bit of a shame really.

Marvel ultimate alliance is the only thing I can think of on this generation, good fun too.
