Hi

I'm just putting together my PC and wanted to know where to plug in the FAN RPM (fan rpm detection) lead from my Enermax PSU onto my MB.

Cheers

Sounds like a good use for the pwrfan plug. I'm sure I've seen that on my motherboard so it should be something similar on yours.

Hi, there are 11 fans connections on the Mb:

1 x CPU FAN
1 x CPU OPT
5 x ASST FAN
3 x CHA FAN

I can't see any PWRFAN

due to my haste, I quickly took out my old MB and now can't remember what it the FAN RPM lead was attached to.

Maybe I should boot it up and see what happens. Just the RAM to go in and I'm all done.

Cheers

It won't matter which fan header you use as they'll all track RPMs in the BIOS. You just need to remember which header you've used so you can tell which one is the PSU fan in the BIOS

Yea, I've wacked it in for good measure. Now just need to get windows to recognised my SM951..... Regret not going for a a gold old AHCI ssd.
