RROD repair time????

Hi All

How long does it take to get a XBox 360 repaired these days?
Mine has just Red Ring Of Death'ed on my while playing the Gears of War 2 campaign for the first time.

Anyone Had there's repaired lately.

should be back with you within 2 weeks. customer services will quote you 3, but that's just to cover their arse.

mines been gone since 2nd jan, got an email friday (9th) saying they had received it in Germany and will email when its repaired and on its way back.

Had my elite done the other day. took 9 days in total

How long does it take them to collect it, and will they repair it with a Jasper board.

Mine died Saturday morning. Got it collected yesterday.

The instructions weren't very clear for me at all so I hope I haven't sent it to Timbuktu.

What do Microsoft actually all need when you return the console?
Will they want the original receipt from Amazon, from where I got the Xbox or anything else??

Mine was picked up last Tuesday and they delivered a new one (nov 08) today. So I am happy as it went in with 1 red light (4th quadrant) but stated it had 3RROD, well it was only 2 months out of warranty so it should have been repaired anyway.
