Hi All

I've decided to try and squeeze a little bit extra out of my 4690, it's had an easy life running at 4.2ghz for a while now and I think it could prob work a little harder for me.

I set my multi to 44 and vcore to 1.2 just to cover my bases and see what happens and ran prime95.
I noticed that it wasn't staying at 4.4Ghz but would fluctuate between 3.7 and 4.2.
Temps are not exceeding 60c so it doesn't appear to be thermal throttling.

I had a little dig around and ran the benchmark again with the intel tuning utility to see what was going on.
It appears that it's "Power Limit Throttling" which seems odd as the CPU turbo power boost max is set to "unlimited"

Any idea what I've missed here?

CPU: i5 4690k
Mobo: Gigabyte Z97M-D3H
PSU: OCZ ZS Series 750W

What about the Core Current Limit (Amps)? Don't have that board but did experiment with power and current throttling so that the overclock would be stable for everything else while throttling for Prime etc without crashing.
