£100k does seem rather high...I've seen them go for £40-60k before.

He is trying to emphasise the mint nature of the car, people will pay a premium for such a car. Having said that, £100k is overpriced and I would be surprised if he gets anywhere near that. Fickle market though when you’re dealing with cars like this the rulebook tends to go out the window.

when you have a car that was produced in minute numbers to begin with, finding one with such low mileage is a task and a half.
they're probably aiming the car at the speculator or die hard RS fan that also happens to be rich.
60 or 70k is more realistic, although I know where there is a better example.

putting a price on cars like this is tough.
its worth upto a certain level purely for wht it is, but on top of that you need to figure out how much a prospective buyer wants it.
its very much a "how high is up" type of question.

A group B rally car (real or roadgoing) can't fail to get me happy

The only time I have an objection is when people overstate the performance or whatever of an old car (such as the standard escort cosworth debate we had the other week).

The stock road going RS200 isn't that quick compared to modern machinery (a shade of 6 secs to 60 and 140mph) but that doesn't necessarily matter

Still not a fan of the Escort cosworth though
