I getting pain in the muscles on the top of the forearm, an achy tingling sensation. With the aid of some blue tack I found that forcing my palm on to the mouse helps me to relax those muscles. Does anybody know of a mouse a large palm support towards the rear?

Currently I'm using a Logitech M705. I do schematic capture and PCB layout so I need a mouse with reconfigurable buttons preferably application specific. Here is a picture!

Have you considered a trackball? That might give you better support and still be accurate enough for your work. I wouldn't recommend one for gaming, but I know of at least one very talented FPS gamer who does use one.

A few years ago I developed a pretty large Ganglion on the back of my wrist, it would often give a painful twinge now and again. Whilst it looked unsightly (it was pretty big) the main issue was worry - you know you should have it checked out but then you ignore... As always with any medical advice - speak to your GP.

The biggest tip I can recommend - regardless of Mouse (apologies if this is old news). To make sure you have sufficient support for your arms (e.g. chair with arm wrests) so that they sit at the same height of the desk, as if your elbows are bent at 90 degree angle and your forearms level with the desk. I would avoid bent wrists - for instance your elbow is hanging mid air (seat too low) or the opposite, your wrist is angled because the desk is too high. Now I am no expert but using this technique my Ganglion dispersed naturally.
