RSS Feed Widget

I'm considering setting up a fully custom widget for a forum and was wondering how to go about it?

Is it hard to do?

Ideally, I'd like it to be in the form of a Windows Sidebar/Desktop widget.

Any tips?

You could always look at the code of the default MS RSS feed gadget or any other you download to see how they work. Just rename to .zip and extract. They're just HTML and JS
