Over there...
Looking for new bikes, was originally sold on the GSXR Thou, but TPFT insurance is coming in at £1000, which, quite frankly is stupid (Bike is secure, but stored on the road, in less than the best area).

ZX10s, R1s all similar.

Except, when i quote for an Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille it comesin at £500. Now the RSV-R is £900 - what i would've expected, so whats the diff between an "R" and a non "R"?

Why would the RSV Mille be so much cheaper? Is the performance much worse on the Mille?

well, all i have to go on is that if i want a Mille it'll cost me £450, if i want an RSV-R it'll be £900 for insurance...

Individual power outputs dont really matter so much, its me getting insured on a super sports i'm interested in!

i know nothing about non-jap bikes, and am kind being forced to look at them. Everywhere i go i'm hearing positive noises tho...

I would suspect even Mille will be a fair piece quicker than my ZX6 :D

Not so sure why its THAT much cheaper than a R1/GSXR Thou tho...

The reason it's probably cheaper is because despite being a litre bike, it's not got much more bhp than a modern jap 600. However, it has a **** load more torque and you won't need to rev the balls off it to get that torque either (though when you do, be careful you don't get pulled off the back! :D ).

i would agree, except for the price of the RSVR - which only has either 10BHP more, or the same... :?

Might not ask questions and just buy one!

But yes, new or old, mille R or Mille R,

right, now you've confused me again (hopefully its a typo!)

The Mille is affordable, the Mille R is not.

so, will the Mille "non R" be the bike i believe it to be?
