Fired up a couple of games last night to see what all the fuss is about with RT on my 3090. Good frame rate but wondering what settings I can lower / turn off when running RT and / or 4k. Motion blur keeps getting mentioned (off?) and not quite sure what I should be doing with hair works and AA etc...

Because I don't want settings enabled that are totally pointless when running RT / 4k or both that will drop frame rate when it's not needed.
Iirc tomb raider was around 80-90 fps, think I had everything maxed in settings.

It's 100% game dependent so without specific titles we can't help.
For SotTR there's nothing to really turn down except not using SMAA4x, because all setting scale appropriately visually & performance wise. For ray tracing you could turn it down to high instead of ultra, because all ultra does is add more rays & add translucent shadows which are very expensive but also very hard to notice & they're rare. But at the same time a 3090 can beast SotTR regardless so it's not much of a gain.
