I have an Asus rt-n56u router and am wanting to attach a usb hdd to it to share my files with other people on my network. I have looked at quite a few videos on how to set this up to share files and think i know what to do when i do it. The only thing i haven't been able to find is.. How to share folders but restrict access to some folders just for my own private documents.
Can anyone help me with a step by step guide on how to do this. I have seen some that make you create a word document to do this but would like to know if there is another way as i don't think all devices can read the doc files.
