RT-N66U and Samba share issue

I have a hdd attached to my RT-N66U. For some reason I can only view the files on there when it is set to 'share without account'. If I try to enable the share with accounts only, Windows just says I don't have the correct permissions to view that server and doesn't prompt me to enter any credentials.

I've checked the permissions and they're all R/W for every file. Is this a firmware glitch? I'm currently on 3.0.0.4.220.

Any help will be much appreciated :)

EDIT: I've also noticed that the 'delete account' button doesn't work either so I can't get rid of any created accounts for Samba access. Firmware issue as well?

Managed to fix it so it prompts for the login credentials now by using the latest Merlin firmware (260.21) and by enabling 'Simpler share naming
(without the disk name)' any ideas what this is??
