RTC.exe has stopped working

I just reinstalled Roller Coaster Tycoon with expansion. When I go to open a saved game the message "RTC.exe has stopped working" appears.... any ideas?

Which OS are you using? You may need to set the game shortcut to compatability mode for an earlier OS, e.g. Windows XP.

Try it with compatibility mode (XP) or running with admin rights?

W7 64 bit. yeah pretty simple, but didn't think of this =/ will give it a go
