fairly new to pc gaming and i was wondering if some people could maybe point me in the right direction to some amazing RTS games.

i will get sc2 and i fancy sins of a solar empire but what other games would yous rate. i love ww2 games :D
 
Dawn Of War up to (and including) Dark Crusade was pretty good :D

didn't think Dawn Of War II was as good :( (altho it is very similar to Company Of Heroes)

I bought Company Of Heroes + expansion ages ago but never really got into it, if you like ww2 games it would probably be of interest tho
 
Dawn of War is a great game and it is similar to how Starcraft 2 plays.

C&C Tiberian Sun, Generals and Red Alert 2 are also very good but old.

Starcraft 2 is the best, but you have to put in the time and almost adopt it as a way of life rather than just another computer game.

For simple, pick up and play RTS fun with depth and longevity, the original Dawn of War and its expansions are what you should go for. Company of Heroes is also brilliant, but I personally prefer the Warhammer universe to the WWII setting.

If you're interested in space RTS then Sins is probably up there as the best, other classic space strategies like GalCiv2 are turn based.

Although compared to small-scale RTS like CoH and SC2, Sins has a lengthy tutorial and has a lot more depth/learning curve to it.
 
Couple of oldschool ww2 rts, suddentrike series, soldiers hero's of ww2.

Both different takes, suddentrikes a pure flat track rts in every sense.

Dawn of War series off Steam £17 think thats every game released as well as the DLC :)
Great little pack.
Does any one know of any good military ones, not the C&C aint much for them ones, i used to play a WW2 one years ago on a laptop but can't remember what it was called.

Oh i got the Commando's games aswell it aint them one : \
