RTS Games

[Russinating]

I used to love quite a few RTS', namely C&C Generals, Company of Heroes, Age of Empires, etc.

Trouble is I only enjoy and get hooked by RTS' based on 'reality', not extreme fantasy, so I've never enjoyed or liked the look of Dota or LoL.

Can anyone recommend any RTS' that are new or still widely played? I'll likely be playing with a friend in 2v2s.

Total War. Pick one.

I know you don't like fantasy but total war warhammer 1+2 are immense.....Very active multiplayer scene with tournaments.

Have a look at forged battalion on steam, it has a pretty unique create your own unit system and the graphics are pretty good!

Theres a great RTS on steam, which allows up to 10 v 10 in multiplayer ( I kid you not ) , called Steel Division. The sequel is in development currently. Only trouble is that I dont know how active the multiplayer scene is, as I only played it single player

Another WW2 option is the Men Of War Series, you will be able to get multiplayer games but there's not a lot of people playing multiplayer.

I bought this last Christmas in a sale and I am still yet to play it! It looks really good, but obviously cannot comment for myself. If they're making a sequel then I really need to get a move on!
