RTW2 and ram speeds, does it make a difference?

The question of ram speed and gaming has come up again in another thread so I thought I would try different speeds on the RTW2 benchmark.

All I did was change the ram speed but left the timings alone. This means at the lower speeds the timings are really slack.

All runs were done @2560 x 1600
CPU 3930k @5.0
Single Titan @stock

Bench settings used.

1066mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

1333mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

1600mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

1866mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

2133mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

2400mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

Not much difference between any of the results, what is interesting is the worst result is the one using the fastest memory setup.

Ram speeds are only really relevant for gamers who are using integrated graphics. I can't think of a single occasion when higher ram speeds make a material difference to game performance when a desecrate card was in use.
