Hi All,

I've not upgraded my PC in a while. I recently went from a 4770K setup to a 2700X setup. I've also purchased an Acer Predator XB271HU to replace my 24" Asus 1080p 60Hz monitor. I now find myself in need of a GPU. At the moment I am using a GTX 1070 but this is destined for my second PC / server. I am looking to spend up to and around £600 for a new GPU. I will mainly be using it for FPS games and want it to last for at least 2 years before I have to start really turning down settings. I was all set to get a 1080Ti but then the RTX 2070 were unveiled at a fairly reasonable price. I am eyeing up the EVGA Black Edition for £459. A second hand 1080Ti is around £500 and a new one £640.

I'd ideally be looking at a second hand one for £500, would that be classed as a better buy than a new RTX 2070 at £459? I know the 1080Ti is faster but it's also quite a bit more new or slightly more second hand. I am wondering if the 2070 will close the gap as drivers mature?
