RTX 3070 Gigabyte Eagle OC Temperatures Help

I don’t think you need quite such an aggressive fan curve. These cards are hot runners as it is and 70-80’C is relatively normal. I have an O-11D Dynamic with six intakes and my Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision still goes up to the high 70’s and even nudges into the 80’s at times. It’s normal.

Ok thanks for the reply. I just got that fan curve off someone who also had a 510. Can you reccomend a better one?

Given the card won’t engage the fans at all below 50’C by default you could start your fan curve there. Does the temp drop by much at 70% compared to 100%? I doubt there’s a huge amount of difference temp wise but a massive difference noise wise. I’ve never bothered changing my fan curve.

Hi guys,
I'm struggling to find any answers about my specific card regarding temperatures and wondered if anyone here could help put my mind at ease.
I have the card mentioned in the title. The card idles at around 45/50 degC and reaches approx 81 degC in game at 98% GPU use. Is this normal or high? I have read a few post of people saying there card does not go above the low 70s. My fans are also having to run at 80% to maintain that 81 degC temp.
Thanks.

My Palit 3070 card I had was the same I had to undervolt it to tame it. The FE cards I had were certainly cooler and quieter. Whether the 3070 FE is the same but I wasn impressed with a 3070 AIB.

But it looks really nice!! . Ah well, 80 degrees is fine for a GPU though? I was just concerned there was something wrong with the GPU. Out of interest are there better cases you could suggest?

Thanks for all the replies people.
unless you have fiddled with any of the settings like voltage or even fiddled further than that you wont have a problem leaving a card to do its thing, they have safety settings inside them that will make the card run slower if its getting too hot. you would notice the change in performance.

EDIT - if you really need to change fan settings so they give you that extra 5C then fiddle with them while the card is at full load. increase fan speed until either the temp is as low as you want it to get or until the noise of the fans gets too much.
