I posted in case forum but maybe GPU forum will have more experience.
Have you 3090 owners had any troubles with your GPU not fitting in your case?
I got fed up waiting for a 3080 so in an impulsive (stupid) moment I bought an rtx 3090FE.

My case - a BitFenix Ronin from 2015 I thought took a big GPU at the time but there is barely 1cm space between my 1080ti and the HDD cage.so I am worried.

Just wondering how people are finding it with older cases

Thanks

Yes, I did have a problem, trying to shove my 3090FE into a ITX shift X case with 2 slot PCIe, but known issue and waiting for a waterblock so suppose it does not count :p

That said I have put the GPU into a temporary Phantom 820 case and its fine, but it is a massive older case. Will all depend on measurements. Just get out a ruler I suppose and see whats what. Compare your current 1080Ti to the dimensions of the 3090FE which are readily available. But yeah the 3090FE is a real impressive piece of kit however.

You're probably going to have to pull the hdd cages in the middle out at least, the FE is 313mm long.
But if you're going to get a new case, housing that beauty of a card isn't a bad thing
