I have a 3090FE but my new psu has one 12+4pin, doesn't fit the gpu as the 3090 only has 12pin not 12+4pin is there an extension that goes from 12+4 to just 12pin?

Phanteks revolt 850w sfx but have no space to use that adapter with two pcie 8pins and can't find the box for the 3090 to get the adapter was thinking of just chopping the extra 4 ground pins off the cable but not sure if it would work.

No the new 12+4pin cables on the new power supplies will not fit due to no space for the +4pins to seat.
I'm now thinking this maybe the reason I give my wife to justify gpu upgrade "I can't return this new psu so I'll just have to get that darned 4090".
