RTX 5080 Return faulty?

Hey guys,

i thought i had the issue sorted, but no.. mega stutters, almost unplayable, single player or multiplayer..

happens bad on Six Days In Fellujah, Elden Ring and Sniper Elite..

Up to date drivers, CPU and GPU temps are fine..

Is this a 50 series card problem or do I have a dudd here?

What exactly are the specs of your PC, and what resolution/refresh rate are you trying to run at?

i have a 7800X3D , Palit Gaming Pro 5080, 64gb RAM and im at 4K with a 40Hz monitor.

I'm going to assume you meant 60hz.

What settings are you using, and are you monitoring frames etc via any method? If not try configuring MSI Afterburner to give you an OSD for testing purposes, the 5080 is a good card but depending on the game and settings it might not the best at 4K. Even with upscaling tech such as DLSS on some titles you might have problems, but it should be able to give you a solid 60fps if things are being set up right.

That might be your issue, try looking up the driver version and those games you're playing. If the issue is widespread, it'll appear quickly.

Nothing changed, I just didnt give the game test long enough to find teh extensive stuttering.

What FPS are you getting generally? - If it's bouncing off of your max on CPU (or both) it may be causing stuttering.
If possible, cap fps to 120 or so and see if you still have the same issue

elden ring is capped to 60 and still had some stuttering?

I’m reflecting on this guys.. could the stuttering on my game drive be caused by a problem with the nvme?
