RTX3070Ti FE Idle/load temps

I managed to get my hands on a 3070ti FE and had some questions about idle/load temps.

I upgraded from an Asus Pheonix RTX3060 which ran at around 32-35c idle, and about 65c under load. The new 3070ti FE idles at about 50c, and gets to 80c under load. The fans are spinning at 30% when it's idle, so it's not 0 RPM (I have afterburner installed and understand this is an afterburner bug).

Are these idle/load temps normal/fine?

The other question I have, is one of the fans isn't 'fixed' i.e if i push on it, it depresses and then moves back into place, and i'm getting an awful buzzing around 50-60% fan load, is this worth an RMA or is there any way of fixing it?

Rest of my system:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X w Corsair H115i blowing 2x140mm exhaust
16GB 3200Mhz Corsair Vengeance
ASUS TUF X570 Plus WiFI
750W Corsair PSU.
Corsair AWD4000x RGB Case 3 120mm intake, 1x120mm exhaust

I take it you're referring to the memory temps and not the core temps.
My 3070 ti FE idles at mid 30c for core and mid 40c for memory. I may be wrong but I haven't noticed the fans stop completely though. They're usually around 30% at idle.

I also have another 3070 ti, albeit an AIB. The temps are roughly the same but the fans do indeed stop spinning and kick in once any load is detected.

I don't have any buzzing noise from the FE fans, but it is loud when the fans go over 70%.

Is your 3070ti mounted vertically or horizontally?
It might make a difference for the fan buzzing noise. Try both and see if the buzzing noise goes away.

Edit: I easily hit 80c for memory under load. Sometimes touching 90c. Core is usually mid 60c.
This is for both the FE and AIB.

Apparently the memory used for them gets very warm. As long as your under 90c, you're within the expected specifications.

If you are talking about core temps they seem high. Both my 3080 FE and 3090 FE never went above 65°C with fan set to maximum of 50%

I figured out the idle temps was due to me having it set to 'prefer maximum performance', by lowering that to normal it corrected the idle temps to 35-40, and the fan does occasionally fully spin down (although not all the time which is weird, it stays at 30%)

I am talking about core temps though, under load I'm still getting up to 80/81c with the fans running about 70-80%

Assume you haven't undervolted with afterburner?

80c for core is quite high even with the fans set to 70%.
These temps are fine for memory but not core in the long run.
I wonder what your memory temps are like.

Try setting the power limit to 85% and see if it makes any difference.

My 3070ti FE fans shut down when idle.

These card chug out 280 Watts at stock, so they get very toasty.

You need to undervolt.

My card is undervolted to 900mV and I get:

Max Clock: 1950
Avg Watt: 215
Max Temp: 72
Fan Speed: 50%

I hadn’t, but I have now, I’m at 950mv with 2000mhz clock and that knocked the temps down to about 77 but at 50-60 fan. This okay?

Memory temps tend to jump between 82-87c

I might have a look at see if I can go further, I tried 925mv at 1995 but got artifacts. I think as long as I can keep it below 80 that should be okay?
