And it came with 4 rubber fan mounts, i thought sweet ! these will be useful.

....

30 minutes of trying to get those sob's through the damn thing, and failing, i gave up. How in the hell are you supposed to get these things through ? The website just says pull them through.... yeah not happening. Cant find any vids of people doing it on YouTube, im guessing the only way is finding something to prod those damn things through the holes ?

I really forced mine through on my Enermax Magma red... they were a pain in the ass but they are surprisingly resilient so you really can pull em without worrying about them snapping.

Asaka rubber fan mounts are really easy to use I found, where as the ones that came with my Noctua fan snapped when I forced it too much... thank god I also bought a 20 pack Asaka rubber mounts :p.

What does the Gelid rubber mounts look like?

TBH, I have Akasa rubbers mounts with my Apache and the one thing you don't even thing about is that the fan will then not be against the case anymore, which means it won't be getting all it's air from the front of the case, especially if you have filters. Same with the exhaust it won't be as effective as with a fully sealed fan using a rubber/silicone gasket.

As soon as I get home i'ma check this... I have a feeling my Magma's rubber mounts are flush with a silicon washer on each...

I bought a Gelid fan which I used on my CPU cooler, so used the rubber mounts on my 120mm rear Coolermaster fan instead.

The only way I could get them in was very slightly increasing the size of the screw holes. All I did was shove a fat enough philips scredriver into every hole, and twisted it a few times to grind away the plastic.

Then I just poked the rubber bits through each the hole, and pulled it through the rest of the way.

Try putting a small amout off washing up liquid on the rubber mount, makes it easier to push through as it acts as a lubricant.
