Rubbish PSP screen improved on PSP slim?

The original PSP screen was complete garbage. If you were lucky enough not to drop it on a teddy and crack it. You still had to suffer with hideous ghosting and colour bleeding. I was wondering if the screen has been improved on the PSP slim?

Believe me the dropping on a teddy thing actually happened.

It's brighter thought I'm not sure if it's better in any other ways.

No one I know has had any problem with it though, it's not that bad.

never had problems like that with my one which was bought in the first week of it coming out (fat psp)

The PSP Slim screen still has ghosting on darker colours.

dropped my psp lots of times, because I'm a big clumsy oaf, and never had the smallest crack tbh!!!

Init, id actually say the screens are decent, Id send it back. Though mines a fat white jap o_0. Which have Sharp screens or summat that apparently are better, though mines got a dead pixel.

i've got a jap one (had firmware 1.0 on it when i got it) the screen does have ghosting, only really noticable in videos, but it's there

I've noticed some slight ghosting on my new PSP SLIM, nothing too bad though.

You've been quite lucky, I've heard oodles of stories where peoples screens have cracked. Thankfully I've never dropped mine.

You'd be silly to spend £100 plus on a psp and not buy a protective case for it.

Mine was in one of the logitech cases but still broke This type Link When the case is open the PSP can fall out there's nothings holding it in. I think its the impact shock that shatters the screen has the outer casing of the PSP was still perfect.

My 5 year old son dropped my PSP twice, on a hard wood floor and it is still working (unlike my sons arms which I broke after the 2nd time he dropped it

just kidding )

I do have one dead pixel but that was there when I bought it

i have mine i a little foam psp cse thing just incase, i also have a broken phat which i could rob a screen from if it fits.

the ghosting is pretty bad on all the psp's i've seen, i thought they would have improved on it with the slim but it doesnt seem so, maybe on the psp 3000 model

I've had the older PSP and now have the PSP slim (I sold the old 1 a while ago, i didnt 'upgrade') I think the screen on a PSP is good ? The jap 'sharp' screen models are better, i didnt take much notice of people saying this untill I actually played on one. I noticed straight away that it was better and that was before i even knew it was a jap model so it wasn't a placebo. Apparently the jap version has worse sound.

IMO the worst part of a PSP is the position and effectiveness of the analog stick
