rubbish radio signal when listening to galaxy/capital

does anyone else have rubbish signal when listening to this radio station?

all others work fine, but no matter were i am, its just crackly and searches for the channel.

Ive replaced my car ariel and im using a new cd player which i got from halfords.
 
Signal is fine here in west yorkshire.

& south yorkshire come to think of it.

I can listen to capital yorkshire (what was Galaxy 105 yorkshire) whilst driving down the M1 and don't loose the signal till i'm past woodall services.
 
There's a section of the Edinburgh bypass, if anyone is local, east bound from about Straiton junction, through the Sheriffhall roundabout and right through to the A1 junction where my car gets no FM signal at all, on any station. Not sure if it's my car or not as I can't get any MW station all the time and any time I use something electrical or even run the engine the MW stations just descend into a load of hiss and static. Someone suggested a bad earth which I'll need ot get looked at.
 
Since Galaxy turned to Capital at the beginning of the month, I have noticed a drop in reception in some areas of Sheffield.

I'd agree with this. Mind you, I'd also agree with Paradigm's comment above!

Hence why mine also has audiobooks, podcasts, and theatricals on it.

Radio (especially advertisement funded radio) is mostly garbage. I can just about get away with maybe a few hours of the BBC (either 1, 2 or 4), but anything else is just terrible, with it's advertising aimed at the lowest common denominator.
 
All I hear is noise, regardless of whether I listen to Capital, Radio 1, or whatever. I'm not sure whether it's a poor signal or whether it's just the **** that they broadcast.
 
Different reasons, but ive noticed that my radio in my FiestaST can pick up London stations all the way up to and past Stansted airport, yet my dads Renault Scenic starts losing signal just past the M25.... How bad is that? Anyway to boost the Scenic's reception? Its high enough of the ground already.
