Ruby Wax - annoying or not?

Sorry in advance for this rant but I've gotta get this off my chest.

I don't normally watch much TV but as I'm at home with my nipper we've been watching cartoons. During the adverts I've seen a Virgin Media advert with Ruby Wax broadcast a lot... who on earth thought she'd be a good choice to get people to sign-up to VM?

Ruby Wax has to be one of the most annoying people on our screens. Her voice is annoying, her accent is whiny and I'd forgotten how unattractive she is (and she's a bit of a bloater these days too!). She makes me cringe. If I wasn't already with VM then I'd not be joining them any time soon after seeing those ads.

...and similarly, who on earth thought that Alan Hansen was a good choice to get people to go to Morrisons? The guy might have been a pretty good footballer 15 years ago but he makes me want to throw my remote control at the screen whenever he opens his mouth.

Gah, why can't advertising execs understand that annoying people don't make me want to use their products or buy from their shops?
 
yeah shes awful. Then theres that scouser lady doing advertisements for food, "cheesecakes" cant stand her accent.
 
Absolutely right. Can't stand the woman - she makes me cringe and reach for the remote.

I used to love Ronni Ancona's impression of her, got the whiny cow just right :D
 
Why the BBC piled so much money and effort into her "carreer" back in the early 90's I have no idea. She wasn't funny then, she isn't funny now. Send her back tbh.
 
Ruby Wax is very, very, very annoying. Tbh most of the new VM ads are very, very, very annoying.

I hate Ronni Ancona, she's just TOO good with her impressions. Makes me hate the people she's impersonating even more. :mad::p
 
She'd be serving canapés with Edith Bowman in my rocket for the damned, heading towards the centre of the sun.

Actually, Ruby would be strapped to the nose with a live feed being beamed back to Earth shown on Virgin for irony's sake if nothing else.
 
Well, you've made a thread about her and the product she is punting on a free talking internet forum, I'd say job done by the marketing people, wouldn't you?

But yes, she's a pain :).
 
Isnt most of the media owned by Jews? Isnt Ruby Wax Jewish? You do the math. Without her religion I think she'd be nowhere.
