I spent couple of days up on Brunters filiming this video. When making this filim things didnt go to plan; Leon the owner went through 2 sets of rear tyres. Span off into the bushes and missed a couple of trees

But these things never go to plan though! Anyways here are the final results!

I never know if your videos are serious or just exercises in using as many different fonts/songs/visual effects and editing options as you can fit in.

car looks impressive.

would be a bit dull if it there were no effects at all surely?!??!

personally not a fan of all of them. but much prefer it than it would be with none at all.

hah yours is only a couple of 2 second drifts then spin outs :p

TWO SECONDS!!! stop doing things to yourself when you should have been recording my amazing drifting skillz! plus there is the big 80mph smoking drift into 360 spin tyre melter!

What Camcorder do you use btw? Some posh pro thingy? What about editing/effects software?

Yeah sort of but its a couple of years old now, Sony HVR-Z1E and editing wise I used Adobe Premiere 1.51 with cineforms Aspect HD codecs. Also you many extra plugins for adobe.

There is a new model out now the Z5E mmmm full 1080P

From an artistic point of view I dont think this is your finest moment. You seem to lose the framing of the car and zooming off-centre makes you look like an amateur. That said, some bits do work nicely and I was particularly impressed by your hitchcock swerve on the move, along with the lighting rotation at the end, which I thought was quite effective at demonstrating the shapes.

As previously said, its difficult to tell where you are going with your filmography, this looks like a test reel where you have tried out so many different effects. By no means a bad thing and its great to have it shared, but its lacking polish.

As for the car, it is a fantastic looking beast.

I am a amateur though - I dont do this full time, its just a hobby for me.

So please comparing me to something professional off the telly ;)

No its damn good work for an amateur but you are surely crossing/trying to cross the boundary?

hah if I get the chance then yes I would but its a different ball game then, everything has deadlines do you can't spend ages on trying out new stuff. At the moment I'm happy in what I do :)

I'm still learning with each video I do and there is so much to think about with camera technique, soundist and editor.

Cheers for the comments though.
