Rumble on UK PS3 controllers?

A friend in work has told me he had a go on a UK PS3 setup last weekend and the sixaxxis controller had rumble. Apparently the sony girl demoing the system said the UK systems have rumble but obviously all US / Jap systems sold up till now havent.

Now this is all 2nd hand information, but can anyone whos bought a UK PS3 confirm / deny?
 
Suspected as much. The actual game he played was Motorstorm, but I took it with a pinch of salt. Cheers for the confirmation guys, a local shop has ps3s in stock and i'm tempted from the bluray perspective but I guess i'll wait until the games catalogue is more compelling.

Sony have now paid what they owed immersion, and i have heard/ read that they are in talks on making a sixaxis 2? with rumble not sure when or if it will happen though.

Aye, in a recent interview with Luke Smith (1UP) Phil says they've settled their difference and he just wants enough hardcore gamers to buy a couple of six axis controllers first before they release the new tilt/rumble controller for everyone to buy again.
