A friend of mine recently bought a Logitech Rumblepad 2 gamepad for games like PES 5.
He is encountering some problems and we are stumped. If anyone has some experience of this problem or has any ideas please let me know.
He plugs the gamepad and the light on the gamepad illuminates, the pad vibrates but the PC lists the gamepad as an unknown device. He has tried installing the drivers but the drivers can't find the gamepad because the PC considers it unknown.
He has tried using different USB (USB 1 and USB 2) ports to no avail. He has the latest VIA chipset and USB drivers. He bought a powered USB hub today. Doesn't help. He found a link to a MajorGeeks forum thread which describes his exact problem (http://forum.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=80968), he tried out what was suggested there but that didn't help.
We've tried one or two articles and stickies from this forum, specifically the USB section here, still nothing.
His basic PC specs are: XP Pro SP2, K8V Se Deluxe, AMD 64 3000 754, 512Mb RAM.
