Rumour of the day: Oracle looking to buy EMC

Do you ever think Oracle could pull off such a large buy? or just a usual stock-rumour-pump-and-dump?

It would need to be $60b+ which is hooge :eek:

This would likely spark a bidding war if they tried so I CAN'T see it being real

Interesting..... I know Oracle pursued Sun Systems a little while ago.

However, Oracle are also technology partners with NetApp.

Wont ever happen. Read The Reg article for more info, but Oracle cant afford em, not in a month of sundays.

Dell would buy them before they let Oracle get them. Oracle buying NetApp is more likely but still not likely.
