*RUMOUR* Ubisoft to buy THQ Assets

Yup they are in the running with a few other companies, I hope that dont purchase they as I hate Ubisoft's DRM with a passion, but I would rather THQ didnt go bust, I think that they will find an alternative buyer...

They expressed an interest in taking some THQ assets last month, I'm guessing they are waiting for a lower price.

"If successful in the overall acquisition, though, Ubisoft would take over five studios and gain the rights to brands such as Saints Row, Company of Heroes, Darksiders, Homefront, Red Faction."

:(

It could be a lot worse tbh, and Ubisoft are getting better with their own DRM management in most recent games, I hope they do grab it, would much rather see a Saints row game from Ubisoft than from EA or Activision :)

I guess valve would never buy up someone like relic because they are their own tight knit group and don't really need anyone else huh? Shame. I'd love to see what valve could do if they took some of the better studios instead of letting people like EA get them.

I want someone other than Activison, EA or Ubisoft to buy THQ as they are all pretty bad, possibly Paradox or Bethesda but then they will be the buggiest games ever.
Edit: or square enix or 2K
