Rumour - Virgin's 50Mb broadband arriving December 15 ?

i heard its free for anyone with aids, not sure how true that is, but i heard it on the internet and god only knows those people could do with maw speed.

its also free for dogs and i heard they are rolling out 100mbit in areas were waffles are illegal.

Its a shame they can't set up some option or service to allow connections only via VM users, so people can host games over just their core network.. a bit like a WAN :)

Yes you can, the only time your stuck on a new 12 month contract is if you get a deal from retentions, might be worth you giving them a ring ask for retentions and ask for a deal, I know it's another 12 months but they will do almost anything to keep you as a customer.
 
So presumably this is just a paper launch? A bit like when Virgin made a big song and dance early this year about people getting a free upgrade from 4mb to 10mb, yet the vast majority of people saw no change to their service until many months later.
 
Even if you had the bandwidth to host game servers, i thought VM dont allow hosting of servers and such unless you have a buisness package? Im not entirely sure about game servers but i know they dont allow hosting of web servers.

you could host an ftp server etc but you had to limit it to 10 connections at a time.

might have changed since i last checked thought this was a few years ago back when i was with "blueyonder"
