Rump Steak...what would you do?

Bought two large Rump Steaks a good inch thick from Big George himself today and have two lads coming over for dinner on Friday. Was after flank, but he said he'd charge me the flank price for rump

I was thinking some kind of pasta to start then Heston's Tagliata for main with a nice Chianti?

I see a sarnie as more of a lunch type thing, but I do like a lot of Jamie recipes...I'm trying to keep it Italian on Friday if at all possible

I really like that idea of cooking the new potatoes like normal in boiling water and then finishing them off with a shallow fry

OT, but you must live really close to where my Grandparents used to live.
George Payne was their local butcher, always remember having good meat when I was up there.

I work round the corner. Gosforth, Great Park in particular, is very expensive (relatively speaking) for Newcastle. He is a top butcher, and I always go there when I can.
