Mrs DampCat is looking for a runaround and she doesn't care at all what it is. But I kinda do I guess.

She's looked at things like the VW Up! Et Al. is there any real difference between that market or will it all be much of a muchness? Things like

VW Up!
Citroen C1
Ford Ka

That kind of line of cars. It's gonna be on finance as neither of us want the hassle of worrying about if it's mechanically sound etc.

Appreciate people's thoughts

Just let her decide tbh, otherwise you'll get it wrong somehow.

For what it's worth I was gifted a ka as a courtesy car a couple of years ago and it was awful. We owned a 107 for a couple of years that was basic, rattly and awful on the motorway but good for nicking round to the shops in and cost about 3p to own over those couple of years.

Only ever sat in an Up, nicer inside than the others and made to feel like a more premium product, but charged as such despite ultimately still basically being a little **** box

Thanks Janesy ill take a peak.

Audi is kinda out of the question. She cant insure one.

I know they're all bad, which is why I dont drive one. She just wants something cheap to insure and run. I do all the motorway driving so that's fine.

Yeah i'd be more comfortable with the Polo/Fiesta. I'll approach it again.

So general consensus is these cars have no real redeeming features and its better to push to move up a "class"?
