Runing iGPU and dedicated GPU together at the same time? Pointless?

Hello all.

I noticed in my BIOS (ASUS Maximus X Hero) that I can have both the iGPU and PEG (dedicated GPU) enabled at the same time.

Is there any benefit of having both enabled and having to install the Intel VGA graphics driver?

Is it just to give the capability of running more than one display? Cheers guys.

You can also use one GPU for pass through if running a virtual machine. E.g. the host can be Linux with the iGPU and then you pass through the dGPU for gaming on windows as a guest.
