Hi guys,

In need on some AGP cards for 3 work PCs, but they will be running 22 inch widescreen monitors.

They must be budget cards as they are for office use only.

I've looked at the Nvidia 5200 & 5500, the ATI 9250, 9550 and a few Nvidia 6200's.

Problem is not everyone seems to have success getting 22 inch widescreens working over the DVI and in some cases working at all on the native res using these cards.

I purchased a 9700 from the MM for one PC here, and that works perfect, but now we're buying for 3 PCs and i have a limited timeframe to order the parts.

So if anyone can offer a little advice on the above i would be really REALLY greaful....

Many thanks all.. ;)

try and get as new a generation card as possible. 7600gs is fairly cheapo to get a hold of. and do take into account that ati have serious driver issues with agp cards, for more info check the rage3d forums to find out about ati's agp problems.

Running quite a few PCs with 9600's, 9700's, 9800's with the ATI drivers. Not having any problems.

Every PC at home (minus 1) has an ATI card in also.

Unfortunately with the budget a 7x00 or newer is out of the question, if we up the card budget we have to spend less on the screens (prefer not to).

All comments, suggestions and advice is very welcome though all the same.

Absolute maximum for an AGP card is £30 inc, but if i can't find one suitable by tomorrow i'll have a word with the boss about the budget.

I work in an IT department and have used a mixture of ATI and Nvidia. To me I would rather have Nvidia as they have better drivers in my opinion.

Depending on what PC it goes in, We have used ATI 9250's for Dell Optiplex PC's as they are half-height cards and Geforce 6200's for normal Dell desktops.

These cards can be had cheap if you find them and are ideal for normal office applications. Both sets of cards seem to work OK on 19" or 20" LCD screens.
