Running 2 rigs

Hello,

I am Currently running FAH on my main PC, however due to the noise having all the fans on full wack to keep it cool i cant run it 24/7.

I have a rig in my loft that runs 24/7 that is mainly a media serve and file sharing pc on LAN to my router and TV/other PC's. It runs Windows Home Server 2011.

My main pc will obviously fold faster when on, is there a way to run FAH on the server 24/7 but still use my main rig when im not in bed catching the few ZZzzz i get? will it all fold under the one Identity name or do i need one ID for each PC thats folding? will both PC's work the same WU or will each be assigned its own ones separeately?

Also is there anyway to change my FAH name, i started one the name Coopp001 and want to change it to match my OcUK name.

No idea about name change....

But set one up then set up the other simple they all add in F@H doesnt see the difference between rigs everything is seen as slots and slots get WU

Just enter the same username team and passkey onto both pcs . They get there own work units

Thank you!! is there a way to throttle FAH? my only concern would be my Media rig over heating so is there a way to only let FAH use 75% of the CPU?

If its quad core run on 3 cores that should help . Do u have a stock cooler on it

ok im on my pc now so can type more, i was on tablet just.

the name change thing, i dont know if stanford wil allow more than 1 username and passkey to 1 email so my suggestion is, make a new email or use another if you already have one to create a new name and get your self another passkey

No my media rig is rather low spec.

its a Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6400 2.13 GHz

if you only allow 1 core to fold im guessing the ppd will be VERY low, you can only try it though.

when you go to bed, just let your pc fold on 2 cores ? that'll allow you to turn the fans to silent, i had a fan noise aswell so replaced 1 noisey fan with 2 x 120mm and now even with them on full i can only hear the 2 gpu fans.
