Hi All
Am currently running 2 HIS 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2GBs in crossfire, I have had the cards for about 2 years now and have generally been very happy with them! I have recently purchased Crysis 3 and felt the cards were greatly put to shame when playing this!, I have managed to flash the bios on both of the cards with a modified bios with the unlocked shaders and have clocked up the speeds on the cards to 900/1325. I have got Tomb Raider on download so it will be interesting to see how it goes, My main question is should I replace them with something newer? or should I get another 6950 and unlock the shaders o/c it like the others and have a trifire operation going on, and would I benefit from this or not see much gains? or should I hold off for the 8000 series? I can run games like Deus Ex, FarCry 3, diablo 3 etc at a decent rate with all details on max and COD MW3 and COD BO2, but crysis seems to struggle!
The rest of my spec is as follows i5 3750K at 4.6ghz, 16gig ram, 60GB SSD, 3TB HDD, I am using 1 27.5inch hanss g monitor and play games at 1920 x 1200 resolution I like to max out the settings where I can and get a decentish framerate
