Running a 24" LCD at native resolution

Hi all,

first post here but I've been a lurker for some time and a customer of OCUK since way back.

I've just sprung for a new 24" LCD panel (HP LP2475W) and I have a good but fairly bog-standard graphics card (IIRC it's an OCUK random brand/Happy Shopper Nvidia 6800GT bought earlier this year, no longer stocked). Question is, is the card capable of running my new screen at native resolution (1920 x 1200) via DVI?

I receive the monitor in a few days so I'll probably find out soon enough :-), but I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.

Cheers.

Thanks for replying. I'm not so sure. I've read posts on other fora that the 6800s are somehow crippled and cant produce this resolution via DVI.

OK, thanks all. I only play the odd game and no brand new games, so I should be OK for now. Another query I have, which might be more appropriate in the Monitor section, is the whole single-link versus dual-link DVI issue. I can't determine whether the LP2475W requires a dual-link or a single-link DVI cable. Anyone know?

Thanks Duff-Man.

Back to my original question, it seems I am indeed a muppet. Now that I'm on my home PC i've realised that I actually have an 8600GT, which is a different ball game altogether.....

So, to ask again (sorry!), should I be OK running at 1920x1200?
