Thinking of getting a nice new TV to go on my wall next to comp, and obviously i want to hook it up to TV to play HD Movies ect, but i dont want to sacrifice my current dual monitor set up.

I was thinking, if i bought a cheap PCI graphics card and whacked the TV into that, would it still work as my duals do (Movie mouse across screen onto it?)

If not, how else could i go about making this work?

Cheers,
Dan

Yes, you can get a PCI gfx card and it should work, But PCI cards are naff and quite rare now. If you have an SLI or crossfire MB (or one like my asus a8n-e which has a 2nd pci-e slot but isn't crossfire or SLI) you can put a second PCI-E card in and run up to 4 screens. Hope that helped.

the main thing to be careful of is that most pci cards tend to be much older gpus, and may no longer be supported by current drivers, which can be a major problem. So look out for that, especially with ATi cards.

A quick check reveals that your motherboard is similar to mine, in that is had 2 16x PCI-E slots, but isnt SLI or crossfire, so you should just be able to get any PCI-e card to run your 3rd screen.

With doing that its best to get the same type of card eg if you have an NVIDA card get another NVIDA one same goes for if you have an ATi card :)
