Running a PSU upside down?

I don't have much clearance at the back of my case and my PSU appears to be getting hot and ramping the fan up because of it. Moving the case isn't really an option so I was thinking about mounting it upside down and cutting a hole in the top of my case for an intake.

I figure that if I have cool(er) air from outside the case just being circulated by just the PSU then it will generally stay cool enough to stop the fan from ramping up. I have suitable cooling for the rest of my PC, so I only need to worry about the PSU as far as this thread is concerned.

Any thoughts?

OK so we're all happy that upside down isn't a problem. Is every one agreed that so long as I have a good exhaust for the case that having the PSUs intake come from a hole in the top can only be a good thing?
