Running a single application with remote desktop

I have 2 win7 machines in different offices. I want to be able to run a specific application in 'application mode' where only that application runs on the client pc.

I know you can do this with a proper TS server, but is there a way of doing it using the remote desktop service that comes with win7 ?

I've got the remote desktop all working, I just want to be able to switch it to 'application mode'.

Any ideas ?

Not possible on Win 7 as far as I know.

It is looking like that ! Are there any other programs like vnc/logmein etc that can do it ?

Seems strange that x-windows could do this 20 years ago and win7 cant !

It's not that it can't, it won't. It's a professional feature that is only enabled on the server versions. In most cases this is a reasonable thing to do.

I guess that's sort of fair. Except that the decision is taken by marketing to 'differentiate' product lines.

I'm running two copies of win7 professional - would be so unreasonable ?

Looks like just the job except it only works with win7 enterprise or win7 ultimate as the host and I'm running win7 prof at both ends - argghh !
