running amp on side

Hi guys, I was wondering if its ok to use an amp standing on its side? Its perfectly stable and all. The amp concerned is a Cambridge Audio a5. This is purely to save space.

I had my Amp on it's side. Can't see there being a problem with it, all internal parts should be secured down.

Should be fine as long as there is some airflow around the amp so heat can dissipate.

Not a good idea, the vent holes and heatsinks are designed for the air to up and through the unit.

hmm, my other amp doesnt seem to generate that much heat so should this really matter?

if it doesnt generate much heat - not a problem. It really shouldnt be a problem at all unless direction of airflow is critical, which for most amps it isnt.
