Not sure where to post it so I thought I'd put it here :p

Am I right in thinking that, in order to run my N64 or PS2 through my computer monitor, all I need is a tuner card and then I can plug my RF output into the tuner card?

I was thinking of a USB one for space/time saving and I was wondering if the "Leadtek Winfast DTV-Dongle Digital TV USB2.0 Tuner" would do me fine.

Thanks :)

What graphics card do you have? Does it have VIVO? As ideally, you want to try getting it to recieve an S-Video/Composite connection, as RF input is going to look pretty shocking on screen from a PS2, unless you're used to it already.

There have been many many threads on this subject recently, so have a quick search.

Yeah, just run it into the svideo port on your graphics card (you'll need a yellow plug -> svideo converter, these normally come with your card) and get a program like DScaler to view it.

Don't hold me to this as I haven't been involved in PC stuff for a long time but I think USB2.0 TV tuners have a slight delay which would make games unplayable. There's an Elgato one with a games mode but I think it might be Mac only.

May just bring the small TV up to uni then :p

My video card at the moment is a 6600GT. Looks like it has a DVI and VGA output, and then a round one which I assume is an s-video one? No inputs though. (no VIVO capacity)
