Hi, i've been thinking about this for a while but i dont have the know how to implement it.

i keep reptiles and they are kept within vivariums (wooden boxes with glass fronts as doors)

ventilation isnt too great within them, as air is always static.

i had an idea of using case fans in a push/pull config either end of the vivarium.

i would use 2x 120mm fans, 1 in the cold end and 1 in the hot end, to circulate new air.

how could i use the 3pin case fans, perhaps even attached to a fan controller using mains electricity?

they're heated on a thermostat, so regardless of 'cool' air going in the thermostat should keep them heated to 90F.

yeah i just figured a slow moving 120mm fan would move a fair bit of air.

in order to use a desk fan or something similar, the glass doors would have to open, hence the reptiles being able to get out.

i will look for the 240v ones available online, but will look in to a variable voltage mains adaptor, the fans would have been positioned at the top of the enclosures, (12" high and covered, aswell as being set in to the wooden vivarium which is 12mm thick)

the reason i ask this is we're due a heatwave next week or two, and it was just an idea.

thanks everyone.
