Ok quick outline

Have 3bedrooms upstairs and all walls are down and im running electrics and Cat6 cable.

Plan is to have Server in loft and have the following. Just looking for some advice or options

On wall Ill have TV and the following sockets
2x Power
3x Cat6 (2x cat6 sockets will be for the HDMI over Cat6 and the socket will be for TV internet)

In corner of the room ill have receiver and Media streamer
4xpower
5x Cat6 (2x will be connected to the HDMI over Cat6 near the TV and the other x3 will be for Ps3 and media streamer and laptop,

Ok my question is, am i better to have the above or get a HDMI matrix/Ir reciever and keep it in the loft and just run the Cat6 over HDMI to the wall near TV then the other end to the loft where the matrix is.

Any advice be grateful

Hi syx,

Got that covered mate, the Cat6 will just be linked to the matrix HDMI input.

Thinking of this

The above will be in the loft with all the HDMI Cat 6's running into it. Then the Media centre and Sky box etc will be in the loft also.

There will be IR receivers in each room which will all link back to the loft matrix so ill have signal.

emmm

Ok now im doing this.. What do you all think??

TV mounted on wall will have
5x Cat6 - 2 of them will run to the Matrix downstairs as HDMI
1 of them will run to server downstairs
2 of them will run to the corner of the room where MAYBE one day i want and Xbox or somink again they will be Cat6 over HDMI.
2x TV/Sky Coax Socket which will run downstairs.

In the corner of the room will be
5 Cat6.
2 of them will be linked to the TV as HDMI
3 of them will go downstairs to the server for internet connection.

baluns ??? Are they the sky coax stuff i mentioned?
