running crossfire and power consumption

Hi i have a ati 5850 and my mb can take 2 ,What power would this use ,Do i need to upgrade my psu

Heres spec .

XFX PRO 550W
ASUS P8P67 PRO
I5 2500K
2, 1TB Hard drives
ati hd 5850

Would running 2 5850 with whats in now be a no go .Would i need bigger psu?

If so i would like one that could take a lot with upgrades ect any ideas .
I have 3 pci express slots on mobo ,shame cant run 3 graphics cards

You really need a minimum of a good 650W PSU.

How much more you need for "future upgrades" depends on what you're planning.

i would seriously recommend anywhere from 700+
preferably 750+

A cpu is most efficient when 55-80% of its total power is being used, and 2 of those plus all your other hardware will use around 500+

750-850 would be your best bet

also look out for a bronze/silver/gold certified powersupply as they are more efficent (gold being the best)

it shouldn't cost too much, around 80-100 quid
